“When people cheat in any arena, they diminish themselves – they threaten their own self-esteem and their relationships with others by undermining the trust they have in their ability to succeed and in their ability to be true.” – Cheryl Hughes.
While the statement you just read above is absolutely the truest definition of cheating, a lot of people, including you (yes, you) still do their best to cheat. Have you ever wonder why? Ok, let me tell you why cheating isn’t a sin at all cost. Read on…
Why is cheating important?
I know you’ve read a lot of blogs, news, stories about cheating. You probably have researched it on your own for you’re one of those millions of people who are cheated on by their partners, friends, etc. If you think cheating is a sin, you are wrong.
Cheating by definition is an act of dishonesty in order to take advantage. For short, it’s all about selfishness. Self gain. Self interest. Cheating is a by-product of someone’s ultimate desire to achieve his or her own personal goals.
So how come all these acts are wrong? Definitely not. However, there are some points that cheating will become an absolutely blatant sin, if:
- You cheat for lust – Yep. This is cheating with a purpose but of an absolutely bad desire.
- You cheat for dignity – Cheating to the maximum level of pride and arrogance just to make yourself purified in the eyes of people.
- You cheat for fun – You’re making fun of a certain thing to the extent of hurting anybody’s feeling.
To cheat is to make a life
You read that right. Cheating is living. You can’t live in this universe if you don’t cheat. The fact is, we are living in a world where lies are profound and truths are facile. Thus cheating is becoming a dogma.
We are living in a world where we are constantly bombarded with superficial information that our minds are being fed up of analyzing terribly insensible data. The reason why people are becoming “okay” in the most convenient ways of making a life — thus cheat.
Simply, what I am talking here is that cheating is becoming our way of life. We are actually forgetting what is cheating all about. We already forget that we do cheat every single moment of our lives — at work, at home, at our friends, at our partners
Cheating is not just about relationship, it’s about taking risk
Cheating is a way of life. I am not talking about why couples break up or why you are trying to seek solution about “moving-on.” No. Cheating is not just about relationships.
Cheating is about how you start and end your day just right and perfect. It’s about how you carry your smile all throughout the moment facing your sarcastic client. It’s about how you sketch a plan to finish your projects smoothly even without the supervision of your boss.
Whatever you’re into and whenever you are making your best in life, always remember to cheat. It’s never wrong. There’s no wrong in taking a risk. Ok?
Remember this best motivation by Mark Zuckerberg:
“In a world that’s changing really quickly, the only strategy that is guaranteed to fail is not taking risk.”
